The process of designing a home should be clear, collaborative, and enjoyable.
Pre-Design
Site Analysis | Programming | Site Response
We start the design by understand you and your site. We work to understand your lifestyle, visions, and goals for your home. We also study the site’s natural features, view corridors, and sunpaths to begin to understand where your home will settle. We begin to look at potential builders, interior designers, and consultants as necessary.
Concept Design
Schematic Design
We begin to design the home by laying out over the site to understand how spaces may sit on the site. This is a collaborative process that works towards the layout of your home. We draw on top of site photos to explore what your home may look like throughout the design.
Design Refinement
Design Iterations | 3D Modeling | Bid Set
These broad strokes become refined into clearer ideas. We develop the floor plan and exterior while creating a detailed 3D model. This model allows for 3D walkthroughs through the spaces and realistic exterior renderings. At the end of this phase, we create a review set for contractor and consultant feedback.
Construction Documents
Details | Consultant Coordination
During this phase, the construction documents are created and the details are resolved. These drawings will become a guide for the contractor during construction. Consultants drawings, such as the structural engineer, are coordinated with the design and included in the final set.
Construction Coordination
Site Visits
Construction has begun. Depending on the project, regular site visits will take place to answer contractor questions and support the design through construction.
Completion
Move in | Follow Up
The moment everything is completed. Your home is ready for you to move in.
